The Darkest Faerie

She's a wicked little fae who only comes out on the crescent moon of a midwinter night. The heron, with its ever vigilant eyes, guards her during their nightly ventures in the treacherous forest beyond.



Mediums: Watercolours on coldpress paper


*added a newer scan. The colours a bit more blue, and the whole painting in general is much smoother.

Very well done. I'm always impressed with good watercolor work as they are infinitely more difficult to work with than most artists believe.

I'm also intrigued at the notion that a fairy can be wicked, most people think of them as playful or at most, mischevious. Well done! :)

Thankyou very much!:hug: I'm really happy with how the dress turned out too. My scanner is still arrrrghh*%$@2211 but I'm working with it... :P I think on boxing day I'll pick up a new one.

Thankyou for your comments :hug:! Yes, faeries are known to be very mischevious, and sometimes, the darkest ones, can be very, very wicked... like stealing unbaptized babies and replacing them with changelings... *spooky*
